MY BEST RESOURCES

WEBSITE TOOLS

Every successful business starts with training and the proper tools. Here is a short list I have compiled, explaining a little about each. I hope this helps you in your online journey to success and wealth.

Wealthy Affiliate is the best place to learn everything you need to know about affiliate marketing with Step by Step Training. Included is 24/7 Tech support and a community of others just like you available to answer any questions you have. Best of all, you can start for FREE, no credit card required.

Jaaxy

Jaaxy – the Research Platform Chosen by the most Successful Entrepreneurs in the World.

The Jaaxy Keyword Tool is a research tool designed by affiliate marketers for affiliate marketers, to help you come up with reliable keywords you can use in getting ranked by Google, Yahoo or Bing. It is the foundation of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). As a beginner, you want to use the best tools to help get your website ranked and Jaaxy is the tool to do it.

SiteRubix is powered by Wealthy Affiliate and takes the guesswork out of building an awesome website. Your website can be up and running within minutes so you can turn your passion into a thriving online business. SiteRubix provides phenomenal support and focuses on three main tools: (1) site speed (2) site security and (3) site protection against spam.

Building your very own website has never been easier or more ‘affordable’ (since it’s FREE).

You can purchase your Domain right here at Wealthy Affiliate. I always used Go Daddy in the past and it is an excellent company; I never had issues with them. However, since I am with Wealthy Affiliate, I like to take advantage of their services as much as possible and the cost is comparable and in some cases less costly than Go Daddy.

GOOGLE TOOLS

Google Analytics

Google Analytics provides you with a deeper understanding of your website and customers by tracking your marketing efforts. This way you can see who is interacting with your site and see what is or is not working. It can also provide data on which of your customers are likely to convert into paying ones. This is also free.

Webmaster Tools

Google Search Console is free and is offered by Google to help you monitor, maintain and troubleshoot your website. It helps you to understand how Google sees your site. It offers tools and support for various actions such as: Indexing problems; finding and crawling your site; viewing Google search traffic data such as how often your website shows up in a Google search, and how often visitors click through for those searches; alerting you if Google encounters issues such as spam; showing other sites that link to your site.

google AdSense

Google Adsense allows you to place ads on your website. It is free and there are no fees. While Google AdSense is a source of revenue, it is best geared towards those websites that are generating a lot of traffic. As a new affiliate marketer, it is better for you to concentrate on building out your website and getting traffic first.

EMAIL PROVIDER - FREE VS PAID

Aweber

An email service provider helps you to build an email list needed to market your products through email marketing. There are a couple of free ones such as Mail Chimp and Mailer-Lite but they are limited in what they provide.

There are several paid providers such as AWeber, Constant Contact, Get Response and ConvertKit.

The one I use is AWeber which is $19/month US,  however you can try it risk-free for 30 days to experience how easy it is to connect with others and grow your business.

In addition to their training videos and FREE one-month trial membership, AWeber has worked very hard this past year to provide better services such as:

  • Expanding their availability to 24/7

  • Ability to add and remove tags to subscribers based on opened emails and clicked links

  • Additions and enhancements to their Drag and Drop Email Builder

  • Apps such as the Stats App with push notifications to let you know when you have a new subscriber; easy to read email automation; completely revamped Curate to quickly build and send emails

  • A/B split test subject lines, preview text, images, copy and send times

  • Added 18 new language options for confirmation emails

  • Over 450 new AWeber integrations such as the exclusive integration with GoToWebinar

  • Launched their first paid course – 24/7 Email Marketing Master Class

CONTACT FORM 7

Contact 7 form

Every website should have a contact form so your visitors can reach you.  Contact Form 7 can manage multiple contact forms and they are easy to customize. It supports CAPTCHA and Akismet spam filtering.

This is a free plugin that  you can download right in your wordpress site.

GRAPHICS AND LOGOS

Images

FREE STOCK IMAGES – As you build out your website you will want to add some images. While there are several paying ones (including Royalty Free Images) there are a few that are totally free:

·         Pixabay

·         Unsplash

·         Picjumbo

·         FoodiesFeed

Canva

DESIGN – If you like designing, Canva is a free tool. You can make everything from posters to Facebook covers, to business cards and logos to graphs. Even if you have never designed anything before, it is not too difficult to master and with a little patience you can produce some great stuff. There is also a paid version as well.

ONLINE FORUMS

Online forums are an excellent source of ideas for your blogging content. A word of caution though – promoting your website can be considered as spam so be careful.  A few of these forums are:

·         Quora

·         SEOChat

·         Warrior

AFFILIATE NETWORKS

Amazon Affiliate

As you build out your website and start getting some traffic, you will want to join some affiliate networks. They act as an intermediary between publishers (affiliates) and merchant affiliate programs. This is one way you will earn money on your websites.

I will list a few to get you started but you can always do a google search. (For example, if your niche is travel, type in travel + affiliates and available affiliates programs will be listed.) They are also free to join.

·         Awin (Shareasale)

·         ClickBank

·         Rakuten (Link Share)
